El evento Games Developers Conference de San Francisco (EE.UU) no sólo es una feria donde los estudios anuncian sus novedades o muestran los tráilers de sus proyectos, también la organización concede unos premios a los mejores juegos del año. Al igual que en otros certámenes, dos juegos en concreto son los que más triunfan, y otro independiente que fue especialmente bien valorado en esta ocasión.
