New Soup Kitchen Opened in Tzfat for 100 Children

In our new soup kitchen for children, each child receives a hot, wholesome meal including:

  -chicken or fish
  -two side dishes
  -two salads
  -unlimited bread and drinks

We also send everyone home with 2 sandwiches, fruits, and milk for school the next day. Social services such as private tutoring, school supplies, clothes, counseling, and medical support are provided for each child.

Founded over ten years ago by Mr. Ariel Lurie, Yad Ezra VeShulamit was established to ease the suffering of impoverished Israeli families..

The organization assists the truly needy from all spectrums of the community and all regions of the country - the orphans, widows, single parent families and large families that have fallen upon hard times through:

• Distribution of 2500 weekly food baskets to needy families throughout the country.
• Soup kitchens in three different locations
• Financial assistance for medical treatment.
• Professional referrals.
• Organizing inexpensive sales of food, basic necessities, clothing etc.
• Distribution of clothes, coats, shoes, school supplies and toys at a nominal fee.
